I like these snail fossil stones from south east Wyoming
After a 1 year hiatus it’s rock tumbler time again 🙂 6″ x 6″ x 4″ Turritella Agate

I am still at it after 2 warrentee replacement tumblers from National Geographic since March plus a freebie Pro model.
I crushed tumbler size stones from rough Turritella Agates
From SE Wyoming
After 6 weeks and 5 stages of grit (60, 220, 500, & 950 course silicon dioxide then 1200 aluminum oxide polish then ‘Gem Foam’® for burnishing)

The proper name of the fossilized snail was thought to be Goniobasis, (pronounced gone-e-o-basis). Further study from paleontologists discovered it is actually Elimia Tenera. Turritella are common snails of a marine nature, but southwest WY at the time was fresh water.
