All my clocks are automatic except the kitchen wall clock. My wrist watch is to hard to change so I leave it on standard time year round .

In a satirical letter to the editor of The Journal of Paris, the American inventor suggested that waking up earlier in the summer would economize candle usage and calculated considerable savings.
