I’ll have to check it out. I used to enjoy the Marian McPartland jazz program years ago. I felt bad when it ended in 2011because she hosted a brilliant program with he encyclopedic commentary on jazz legends and, of course, her jazz piano. A blues program of that quaity would be worth staying up to hear!
Steve Cushing is the host according to one site. I guess I’ve not been listening to NPR at the right time or paying attention to the listing to have missed it all these years! I get NPR over Nebraska Public Radio. So far, it doesn’t look like they carry it, but it may be on a different day or time.
Nebraska Public Radio is excellent and carries all the big programs associated with public radio in the US. I usually listen mostly to the news programs on NPR since my CD collection is extensive (>5000, <6000) and music is something I generally listen to by that medium. Their daytime classical programs tend to hit the old familiar pieces and rarely more than parts of the whole get played.
I like NPR and didn’t know that. I like the Blues too ๐

Too bad I can’t get it on my radio (I don’t think) because it’s a Bose and the sound quality would be much better than on my smart phone.

I thought everyone in the USA can receive National Public Radio as per the US RADIO ACT OF 1938 , Marconi didn’t invent the RADIO
